Essay I. Summary of your activities in your contents including new contents created (one paragraph). Provide all the hyperlinks (clickable) of new contents you have created this week.

This week, I’ve monitored my website traffic using Google Analytics and created a Google Looker Studio dashboard to analyze users, sessions, event count, traffic sources, and top pages. I have also visited other teams and students websites and have left some comments on posts that I liked. For my own website, I’ve published two new posts, that are: What Is Quantum Computing and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?, and Understanding Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, and have also added images and organized categories and tags to improve navigation. These new posts discuss emerging technologies, explaining quantum computing and the concepts and uses of AR and VR. You can access these posts via the hyperlinks below.

Essay II. Summary of your KPI table (add screenshots or table) (one paragraph excluding the KIP table)

My KPI table focuses on two main goals for my website that are increasing traffic and improving user engagement. To measure traffic, I’ve used total users and sessions because they show how many people visit the site and how often they come. To measure engagement, I used views, event count, and average engagement time because they show how users interact with my content. These KPIs help me understand my website’s performance and show whether my content is attracting and keeping visitors interested.

Essay III. Summary of your Looker Studio Report with your KPI identified (add screenshots) (one paragraph)
I have created a Looker Studio report by connecting my GA4 data to visualize my website’s performance. The dashboard (see screenshot below) includes charts showing total users, event count, sessions over time, traffic sources, and the most viewed pages. These charts help me understand on how the visitors interact with my website and which content attracts the most attention. The sessions chart shows how the traffic changes over time, while the table highlights the most visited posts. From the report, I have noticed that some blog posts receive more views, showing that certain topics attract more visitors.

  • Understanding Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality

People often connect augmented reality (AR) with virtual reality (VR) but both technologies operate through distinct mechanisms. AR technology creates digital content which it overlays onto existing physical spaces without removing the actual environment. Users of a mobile device or AR application can experience virtual content which includes virtual objects and graphical elements and textual information that appears on their surroundings. The authentic environment remains visible for users to experience while technology adds extra digital material to the space. The AR technology creates a space which blends digital elements with physical reality instead of constructing an entirely distinct virtual environment.

Virtual reality operates through its complete substitution of actual environments with virtual environments created by computer systems. Users of VR technology need to wear headsets which block their view of actual surroundings while they experience digital spaces which include games and simulations as well as virtual environments. The system intends to create an immersive experience which allows users to experience the virtual world as if they were part of it. AR technology adds virtual elements to actual environments while VR technology creates entirely new virtual worlds which users can explore.

  • Is AI Changing Creativity in Art?

AI is changing art, but that does not imply that the creativity is over. The current art movement which people create through their use of AI technology resembles past artistic movements which emerged because of technological advancements. The introduction of AI technology to artistic work and creation leads to fresh artistic pathways which artists can use to discover their creative capacities. AI technology does not substitute for human creative abilities because it provides new environments which artists can use to create their work. The invention of advanced AI systems enables people to create new artistic possibilities while breaching existing limitations of human creativity.

Artists who work with AI technology use it as their creative tool. They keep control over creative work while using the software to assist with generating ideas and developing concepts and testing multiple artistic styles. Human emotional expression and artistic purpose and artistic significance create the essential link between art and human expression. The artist controls the final artistic message and purpose and the entire vision for the artwork despite AI technology granting new artistic options and enabling more adaptable workflows.

  • Understanding Natural Language Processing

The Natural Language Processing field exists as an artificial intelligence domain which enables computers to comprehend human language through its two functions, understanding and generating language. Machines can operate with text and speech through NLP because it enables them to work with these forms of communication in a manner that matches human understanding. The system uses computer science together with linguistics and machine learning to process language and uncover its hidden meanings. The technology powers all common tools which include chatbots, translation applications, voice assistants, and search engines through its ability to process natural language user inquiries and speech.

    NLP

NLP exists to create a connection between human language communication and computer systems which handle information. The use of NLP technologies enables systems to achieve language pattern detection and entity recognition and sentiment analysis and contextually appropriate response generation. NLP includes multiple processes which start with tokenization and proceed through parsing and semantic analysis to enable computers to understand language better. The development of better machine learning models leads to stronger NLP capabilities which businesses now use to improve customer service and conduct data analysis and automate content processing tasks.

Essay I. Summary of your activities in your contents including new contents created (one paragraph). Provide all the hyperlinks (clickable) of new contents you have created this week.

This week, I have checked my website traffic in Google Analytics, explored automated and custom insights, and visited team and student websites. I also created two new posts: “What Is Quantum Computing and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?” and “Understanding Natural Language Processing”. The first post explains the basics of quantum computing and why it is becoming important, while the second post discusses how NLP helps computers understand human language. These posts can be found under the ‘HW9’ section in the ‘HWS’ menu and under ‘TECH’ for general readers.

Essay II. Summary/analysis of your ‘automated insights’ (add screenshots) (one paragraph)

For this assignment 9, I have used Method II, in which I accessed through the Insights icon located in the top right corner of Google Analytics 4. When I opened it, the Analytics Intelligence panel showed me information about my website traffic in a quick and easy way. I asked about the top cities by users, and GA4 showed that most of my active users were coming from places like ‘Seattle’ and ‘San Jose’ during the selected dates (Sunday 3/1 – Friday 3/6). This information helped me understand visitor locations better because it presented data without requiring me to go through multiple reports. Overall, I think this feature makes the website data easier to understand.

Essay III. Summary/analysis of your ‘custom insights’ (add screenshots) (one paragraph)

I have created a custom Insight in Google Analytics 4 to keep track of changes in my website traffic. I have set it to check daily and use 1-day total users as the metric. I also added a condition so that GA4 can notify me whenever user numbers decreased by over 20% from the previous day’s count. I think this is helpful because it makes it easier to notice sudden changes in traffic without having to keep checking reports all the time.

  • What Is Quantum Computing and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?

Quantum computing operates through a completely different method of computation compared to conventional computers used in daily life. Normal computers use bits that represent either a 0 or a 1, but quantum computers use qubits which can represent multiple states at the same time through concepts like superposition and entanglement. Quantum computers can handle multiple possibilities at once because of their ability to process extremely large data sets. The technology enables scientists to solve particular complex problems at a faster rate than classical computers, which benefits scientific simulations and optimization challenges and cryptographic security systems.

    quantum computing

The researchers and technology companies are currently developing real quantum systems despite the futuristic nature of quantum computing. Current quantum computers face limits because they need to improve their qubit stability and error reduction capabilities, but technology advancements proceed at a fast pace. According to recent discussions about the field, quantum computing could eventually help industries solve problems in areas such as logistics, materials science, and drug discovery by performing calculations that would take traditional computers far too long to complete. Many experts believe quantum computing will become an important technology that supports classical computing systems despite its current early development stage.

Essay I. Summary of your activities in your contents including new contents created (one paragraph). Provide all the hyperlinks (clickable) of new contents you have created this week.

This week, I created two new posts called ‘AI Literacy’ and ‘LLMs’ under the TECH section and HW8 menus of my site. In the ‘AI Literacy’ post, I explained what AI literacy is and why it matters for students, especially because AI tools are becoming common in both school and work. In the ‘LLMs’ post, I gave a simple introduction to large language models, how they generate text, and why it is important to double check information instead of trusting everything they output. I also had a system issue where I lost my posts, data content, and comments from last week, so I had to redo HW7 again. After fixing that and rebuilding my content, I completed these two new posts for this week and added them to my menu for easy access.

Essay II. Summary of your “Thank you” event conversion (add screenshots) (one paragraph)

For this homework 8, I have created a ‘Thank You’ page on my website and tracked it as a conversion in GA4. I set up a GA4 event tag in Google Tag Manager, connected it to the correct trigger so it fires when the Thank You page is visited, and tested everything in Preview mode to make sure it worked. After that, I checked GA4 Realtime to confirm the thank_you event was showing up, and then I marked it as a key event in GA4. This helped me understand how conversions are created and verified.

Essay III. Summary of your “menu click” event conversion (add screenshots) (one paragraph)

For the menu click event, I track when users click on the ‘AI Literacy’ link in my menu. I created a Click -Just Links trigger in Google Tag Manager and set the condition to fire when the Click Text contains AI literacy. Then, I built a GA4 event tag and connected it to that trigger. I tested everything using Preview mode to confirm the tag fired correctly.

After that, I checked GA4 Realtime and confirmed that the menu_ai_literacy event was showing up, and marked it as a key event to track it as a conversion.

  • Introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs)

Large Language Models, which is popularly known as LLMs, function as artificial intelligence systems that can read and write like humans. They require extensive text data for their training because the model needs to understand language patterns to create responses and solve problems and produce text and perform translation work and make original content.

The understanding of information by LLMs differ from how humans comprehend the information. The system generates responses through word prediction that usually follows the training data patterns. Because of that, they can sound very confident even when the answer is incorrect. It is important to use these systems with caution because they can replicate existing biases from their training data. The introduction of AI tools to educational and professional environments makes it necessary to understand LLM functionality for responsible tool usage.

  • Why AI Literacy Matters for Students

AI literacy requires people to understand what AI is, how it works, and how it should be used responsibly. People need to use tools, but they also need critical thinking skills to assess outcomes and identify restrictions and study problems which include bias and privacy.

Students require these skills as we know, AI is already part of everyday learning, and it is also helpful in their future careers. Schools and workplaces use AI tools as common resources and organizations want employees who can use these tools to boost productivity and solve problems and make better choices. Students who understand AI technology use chatbots for effective communication while verifying information instead of trusting every output.
